Wait…how old is Chrissie Hynde again? Because the strength and clarity of her voice had us believing it was 1978! At last night’s NYC show at the Highline Ballroom, The Pretenders performed rockabilly-tinged songs from their new album, “Break Up The Concrete” (Shangri-La) and an array of crowd-pleasing greatest hits. The Pretenders, sounding better than ever, showed yet again why they remain one of the world’s greatest rock bands.
