Kanye’s “Love Lockdown” single cover

Singer, music producer, record label founder, visionary behind gestating fashion label Pastelle… Kanye West is a man as indefatigable as he is multi-talented. And with the release of his new single, “Love Lockdown“, Kanye has once again sidestepped expectations and defied pigeonholing as a rapper.

We’ve just collaborated with the prolific renaissance man on the artwork for “Love Lockdown”. Willo Design Group brought the concept and image of the deflated heart-shaped balloon, and we helped out with type. In addition, we just art directed a photoshoot with Kanye in Los Angeles.

After Kanye unveiled “Love Lockdown” at the MTV Video Music Awards in early September, the single shot to #1 on iTunes on September 19, just two days after its official release. The single will feature on Kanye’s upcoming album, Heartbreaks and 808s, slated for release in November.
