Beijing: Two guys, two talks, and two meetings in two days. Wednesday saw the dynamic duo of Base’s Thierry Brunfaut and Dimitri Jeurissen speak at Icograda World Design Congress, talking about the trend today of specializing in not specializing. Thursday, they popped over to UCCA, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art to talk to a packed auditorium of students, then had a couple meetings, went to Dadong restaurant for the best duck in town, followed by an evening at club Yugong Yishan for a concert by Kid Koala. … more
