As Manhattan’s High Line Park grows ever-nearer to opening, a neighboring project is just beginning. Directly beneath the High Line on 10th Avenue between 14th and 15th Streets sits local landmark the Chelsea Carwash. In the heart of the chic Meatpacking District, it’s a location too valuable, apparently, for a mere carwash.
