Madrid’s Conference Hall, empty until this weekend’s MAD

MAD 009, the fourth and 2009 installment of Madrid’s annual conference on design, is happening this weekend in the Congress Hall of Madrid. Sixteen guest speakers are scheduled to present during the two-day event, including Base’s own audiovisual specialist Jean-Marc Joseph. Our audiovisual team is also responsible for directing the event’s opening credits sequence.

Jean-Marc will discuss, among other things, the interaction between design, text, typography, and motion graphics, and how to work with stock footage—a key subject in these times of budgetary smallness.

Barcelona-based creative team Carlitos y Patricia recently approached BaseMotion with a mysterious mission: Create a 10-second spot and incorporate the spoken phrase (translated from Spanish), “Come to the place where bartering rules.
