To establish a tone and mission statement for its communications, our type foundry BaseLab turned to our writing department. As a start, BaseWords has written a “lorem ipsum” statement directed at creative directors, designers, and clients who may be looking for a custom typeface. BaseLab took time out from designing typefaces for Kipling and STM, the public transportation system of Montreal, to go to the Type Congress, in Valencia, Spain, over the weekend of June 20–22.
